This is not good, especially for the bodybuilder who may train during the day and find his motivation affected. It also presents a real problem that goes beyond bodybuilding and training. Some people think that our eating patterns have become counterproductive in modern society. The average person eats a lot of carbs during the day, and the insulin and serotonin responses we talked about earlier can become very pronounced. At times of the day when we need to be productive and alert, in the early afternoon for instance, we’ll be sleepy and lethargic from all those carbs.
Hmmmm interesting. Funny you mention it because I was taking gaba not too long ago and it was in a mixture with some other stuff. Anyways, I think it was causing me to wake up kind of uncoordinated and feeling just kind of weird. Dissociative I guess you could say, which makes sense because it’s related to the NMDA receptors somehow I think. It supposedly “can’t” cross the blood brain barrier, at least this is repeated despite the fact that it can and does, it’s just an unreliable mechanism in which it does. Low levels of gaba were insinuated to absorb more in the brain also. I didn’t have this issue as if I took the full 750 mg I felt very strange consistently and none of the other supplements in the mixture would seem to do this.
I’m so confused, so much information and so much conflicting each other, I spend so much time researching to find what’s the best way… and here I am. Spent an hour and a half going through everything from the glad diet…to how to have ripped abs to how to make proats. Need advice. I’m 31 and used to be in decent shape in my early 20’s. two kids later and not so much, about 2-3 times a year a get the urge to start working out, insanity…weights…training for triathlons and every time 2 months into it I don’t like how I look yet and give up. I need something that will help me LOSE fat AND gain muscle, losing fat requires decrease in calories and gaining muscle requires increase of calories….should I just focus on losing fat first and only than work on building muscle, currently I’m 5’9 175ish about 18-20% body fat….down from 194 and 22-24% so I feel like I’m doing something right.
